Is this a Joke?

When i tried to register for the forums i filled in the application correctly as you can see:

Username:Mr_Burger

Email:xxxmrxburgerxxx@(cant post links)gmail.com

Password: ********

Confirm password: ********

No-spam thingy: g7Q1b

Then it came up with:

that username and password is already in use

So I had to do thia account with a backup email

Can someone tell me whats going on?
